Practice Exams is a study app where students practice quizzes for their information systems courses. This page explains what information the app handles when you sign in and use it, and what it does with that information.
What we collect
- Google sign-in details. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We ask Google only for basic profile information (openid, email and profile). We never see your Google password.
- Quiz activity. Your scores, the topic and mode you played, how long it took, and when you signed in, so we can show your score history and help the class administrator see how the course is going.
- On your device. A sign-in session cookie, your light/dark theme choice, and a local copy of your recent scores and quiz progress stored in your browser.
What we do not do
- We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar or any other Google data.
- We do not sell your information, show ads, or share it with advertisers.
- We do not use your information for anything other than running this app.
How we use it
- To sign you in and decide whether your account has been approved to use the app.
- To show you your own scores and history.
- To let the administrator approve or remove accounts and see class activity.
- To keep the app secure and fix problems.
Who it is shared with
Only the services that run the app, acting on our behalf: Google (sign-in), Netlify (hosting) and Neon (the database). Your information is visible to the app administrator, and not to other students.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and quiz history while you use the app. You can ask us to delete your account and its history at any time using the contact address below, and we will remove it.
Your choices
- Sign out any time from the sidebar, and clear your browser data to remove the local copy of your scores.
- Revoke the app's access from your Google Account's security settings.
- Ask us to correct or delete your information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
